Frequently asked
Do I need to download an app?
No. Bukuzi works inside WhatsApp. You save the Bukuzi number and chat with it like any contact. Business owners who want to see reports can also open them in a phone browser.
Does it replace my accountant?
No. Bukuzi keeps the day-to-day records. Your accountant still checks them, handles tax returns and gives advice. Bukuzi just means they get clean records instead of a bag of receipts.
Can it read Shona and Ndebele?
Yes. You can write or send voice notes in English, Shona, Ndebele or a mix. It always shows you what it understood before saving, so you can correct anything.
What about ZIMRA and VAT?
Bukuzi records the VAT on your receipts and prepares VAT summaries on the VAT Pro plan, ready for you or your accountant to file. It does not file returns for you, and it is not a fiscal device.
How do I pay?
Monthly in US dollars, by card (the EcoCash virtual Mastercard works) or bank transfer. You can cancel at any time.
What happens to my data if I stop?
You can download all your records as a spreadsheet before you leave. After you close your account, your data is deleted as described in our privacy policy.
